gluten-free short crust pastry

omg, I know how hard and expensive it is to find good gluten-free pastry. all the ones I have tried claim to be 'puff' pastry but it dosent ever puff. I find most go rock hard, leak lots of oil and are just not that nice! so instead it is honestly so easy to just whip up this short crust for a much better end result.

i would also like to point out that this recipe, i have only trialled with the woolworths brand gluten-free flour and i can not promise that it will work with all types of gf flours as you probley already know gluten-free flour can be very tricky to work with. but none the less i hope you give it ago :)

recipe-

2 cups of plain flour

120g of butter

1/2 cup of room tempreture water

method-

place butter and flour in a bowl

with your fingers pinch the butter and flour together (until there are a few butter lumps left)

slowly begin to pour in your water, stir with a knife while doing so

tip out mixture on a floured surface (there will be extra flour in the bowl but you will just knead that in in the nest step)

knead mixture until just combined

roll out and use for what ever you desire
